Dr Wang's Biography

Dr Wang's Biography

From Darkness to Sight shares the remarkable life journey of Dr. Ming Wang, a world-renowned laser eye surgeon and philanthropist. It is an inspirational story of how one man turned fear, poverty, persecution, and prejudice into healing and love for others.

My name is David J. Scribner. I am a retired Army officer, and being retired, I am authorized to obtain heath care at all military and VA facilities. In 2014 I was diagnosed with cataracts and chose to have surgery at Ft. Campbell, KY. During the procedure, the original lens was “dropped” and I immediately was sent to TN Retina in order to schedule a vitrectomy and to remove the old lens and debris from my right eye. After 2 vitrectomy procedures and another procedure called a strabismus, my right eye is finally healed. I told myself that “if” I was to have the left eye corrected, I would trust Dr. Ming Wang in Nashville. On June 16, 2016, Dr. Wang performed a 3D Laser and Lens replacement that was a TOTAL success. I would recommend Dr. Ming Wang to anyone that needs any type of eye surgery. My experience at the Wang Vision Institute has been exceptional.
