Dr Wang's Biography

Dr Wang's Biography

From Darkness to Sight shares the remarkable life journey of Dr. Ming Wang, a world-renowned laser eye surgeon and philanthropist. It is an inspirational story of how one man turned fear, poverty, persecution, and prejudice into healing and love for others.

I have a long history of glaucoma in my family and I was diagnosed with glaucoma four years ago. I have witnessed the effects of glaucoma on family members and recognized the need to have a specialist in the field. When I found out that I needed cataract surgery and knowing I had glaucoma, I clearly understood the “garden variety” of cataract surgery would be too high risk for me. Having knowledge of the WVI and receiving many referrals, I determined Dr. Ming Wang was the doctor I needed. My experience with WVI and Dr. Wang far exceeded my expectations. The level of professionalism and efficiency of his staff and Dr. Wang’s personal knowledge and skill not only gave me confidence before the procedure, but also proved to be the correct decision for my vision needs.
