Dr Wang's Biography

From Darkness to Sight shares the remarkable life journey of Dr. Ming Wang, a world-renowned laser eye surgeon and philanthropist. It is an inspirational story of how one man turned fear, poverty, persecution, and prejudice into healing and love for others.

I had my initial LASIK in 2009. Before I made that decision in 2009 I read and viewed many articles and videos about his procedures. Many were about his institute helping people in desperate situations. I was touched by his concern and dedication for this people, and his mission to help them. I decided this was the type of person to help me address my vision issues which needed very formal eye correction, a walk in the park for Dr. Wang. Who else would be better to work on my eyes than the man who corrects surgeries that went wrong? After making that decision, I was taken care of by the friendliest, most caring staff I had ever met. The icing on the cake was the attention Dr. Wang showed me after both of my procedures. He personally called my home and cell phones the night of the procedures to make sure I was doing okay. He made me feel like I was his most important client. My first procedure was to perform monovision. As I grew older, my close up vision was not as good, because my long distance vision was improving in my close vision eye. The day after the correction, I could read the ingredients off of the prescriptions I had to take! I would recommend Dr. Wang to everyone.
